PETER SHIM
Peter is one of Trinidad¹s foremost artists. He is perhaps best known for his work in water colour and pencil illustration. One of his most outstanding achievements was his Historical re-creations for Paria¹s publications in an adaptation of the style of his ancestor Jean Michel Cazabon - one of the Caribbean¹s finest artists.
His paintings have been on display in a number of art shows and are sought after both locally and internationally.
His finished pencil and airbrush work is unparalleled. Over the years, Peter¹s ventures into the field of computer graphics has earned him tremendous kudos both locally and internationally.
Peter Shim has worked as an artist all of his life. His media include music, paint, ink and digital pixels. He has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator with several advertising agencies, crafted leather and moonlighted as a musician. His pastime enjoyments are Cycling, Surfing and his Drum set.
He began formal showings of his paintings In 1992. His works proved extremely popular and shows featuring his period pieces and lush landscapes were sellouts in 1992, 1993 and 1995.
