WINSTON IAN STEWART (Sundiata)
Born 21st April 1950- Barbados.
Residing in Trinidad and Tobago since 1970’s.
EDUCATION:
BSc. Economics University of the West Indies.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons.) University of Reading, England.
Sundiata lives in Trinidad and is a full- time painter and sculptor. His main source of inspiration is nature, light and the human form. He uses a variety of media including oil, watercolour, pencil, charcoal and wood. His works are very colourful, expressive and semi-abstract. Sundiata has exhibited throughout the Caribbean, North and South America and Europe. His work is to be found in many private, corporate and public collections. He has received numerous awards for painting, drawing and sculpture. His other interests include road running, swimming and exploring the rain forest.
